  1. One thing that I am guessing is mentioned on the episode is getting the kids involved in cooking or choosing the food. I do this with my nieces and nephews and so does my sister (their Mom). Even if its something that is more of a treat. I made them cupcakes and let them help make the frosting. If my sister is making dinner she has the kids things that are age appropriate to help. Her oldest daughter (7) might make a salad while her youngest son )4) might help add salt or pepper to the main dish for instance.

    • Oh definitely, Jen! Getting kids involved in food choices and preparation is a great way to help them learn about healthy foods. And it’s fun!
