How One Woman Turned 100 Days of Clean Eating into an Amazing Way to Help Others Do the Same

In 2010 Lisa Leake, along with her husband and their two young daughters, embarked upon a quest…to eat “real food”–unprocessed and unrefined healthy, whole foods–for 100 days.

In today’s world of busy days, daily school lunch decisions, and food-centric social situations, this can pose a real challenge. The Leake family met that challenge and at the end of the 100 days, just kept right on going.

Lisa chose to document their real food journey on her website, 100 Days of Real Food. Since then, the website has become a major inspirational hub for others looking to lessen their consumption of processed foods and live healthier real food lives.

What You’ll Find at 100 Days of Real Food

The site contains a massive amount of incredibly useful information in the form of:

  • blog posts
  • recipes (over 100!)
  • week-long family meal plans
  • a comprehensive and well-planned “10 Days of Real Food” pledge, which includes the “rules” that Lisa and her family followed during their 100-day pledge, plus guidelines for planning and success

Topics addressed throughout the site include:

  • switching to a real food lifestyle
  • stocking your pantry, fridge, and freezer with healthy whole foods
  • understanding food labels
  • …and much more!

Lisa’s first book, 100 Days of Real Food: How We Did It, What We Learned, and 100 Easy, Wholesome Recipes Your Family Will Love, was a New York Times #1 bestseller.

Her second book, 100 Days of Real Food: Fast & Fabulous: The Easy and Delicious Way to Cut Out Processed Food, is due out on October 25, 2016.
