Kim Trumbo has a philosophy about generosity, and a mission to help people.  She is the creator and host of Generosity Philosophy, a podcast dedicated to  “highlighting heroes who live to give”.  A recent trip to Guatemala ignited a desire in her to help the people she met there.

And so the GuateGoods4Good Etsy store was born.  Here’s what Kim has to say about it:

With the GuateGoods4Good Etsy store I opened, I’m helping to raise money to pay for the education for children in Guatemala who otherwise probably wouldn’t have the opportunity to go to school. This money will also assist the families of the children to gain access to medical care, and basic necessities such as food. Know that your purchases from my shop will be helping with this mission. May you be blessed, and thanks for checking out my shop.

We hope you’ll take a moment to check out GuateGoods4Good as a part of your shopping this holiday season.

Adopt a Turkey from Farm Sanctuary

As vegetarians, instead of eating turkey this Thanksgiving we chose to adopt one!  Symbolically, of course…our homeowner’s association would likely frown upon a live turkey in our yard.

This year we adopted Gable from Farm Sanctuary.  Just look at the character in that face!  For a one-time $30 donation, you can adopt a turkey of your very own!  Adoption money goes toward caring for your turkey, and you’ll receive an adoption certificate, a color photo and info about your new feathered friend.

There are several turkeys to choose from at Farm Sanctuary…what are you waiting for?
