Dietary Supplements 101 (VZ 207)

//  by Vickie Velasquez

The Basics of Supplements

In this episode of the Vegetarian Zen podcast we discuss the basics of dietary supplements. We don’t delve into vitamin supplements vegans need, or how to know if you should take a supplement; we do talk about what supplements are, what information is contained on supplement bottle labels, what those “certified by” stickers mean, and what animal-derived ingredients are commonly used in supplements.
