Scenario #1: You’re interested in adopting a plant-based diet, but you have kids who may or may not jump enthusiastically on the veggie train.
Scenario #2: One day, out of the blue, your child announces that (for whatever reason), she wants to be a vegetarian.
In either case, what do you do? How do you convince kids who may be used to burgers, chicken nuggets, and bacon to make the switch to broccoli, chick’n and tofu? Of course, you’re the parent, so what you say goes, but making totalitarian rulings without taking kids’ tastes and feelings into account is bound to make for an unhappy household. And how would you answer your child’s request to do away with some or all animal products?
In this episode of the podcast, we offer suggestions to help parents with both of these scenarios. You’ll hear some ideas for talking to kids with different personality types, ways to educate yourself in order to help your kids, and some notes on the nutritional needs of children.
