In This episode of the Vegetarian Zen podcast, we welcome Kobi Regev, CEO and Co-Founder of Pleese Foods, a company specializing in plant-based cheese made from a proprietary blend of bean and potato proteins.
We talk to Kobi about his own plant-based journey and about his inspiration for creating Pleese Cheese.
Who is Kobi Regev?
Kobi Regev is the CEO and Co-Founder of Pleese Foods, a company specializing in plant-based cheese made from a proprietary blend of bean and potato proteins.

A passionate New Yorker and vegan, Kobi Regev and his wife, Abev (also vegan), were disappointed in the lack of quality vegan pizza. They couldn’t find any cheese alternatives to replicate the taste, texture, and melt of that authentic NYC pizza experience. So they created their own.
Kobi, a tenacious inventor, has become an expert in vegan pizza cheese and has built a company around his innovative product that fills a niche in the massive pizza industry.

Pleese Cheese Gives Back
As CEO of Pleese Foods, Kobi has not only set out to make the most delicious and appealing plant-based cheese on the market, he’s also dedicated himself and his company to giving back in meaningful ways. For every case of Pleese Cheese sold, Pleese donates a tree to be planted by the National Forest Foundation, a cause that’s close to Kobi’s heart.
